The county managers’ and administrators’ section meeting is hosted by the Georgia Association of County Managers and Administrators’ (GACMA). The meeting will take place on Friday, April 17, at 12 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The fee to attend is $60.
Meeting attendees will receive a legislative update from the ACCG Legislative Policy team and will receive presentations from Charles Hall, CPA and author of “The Little Book of Local Government Fraud Prevention,” as wells as a 3-D visual presentation by Vizitechusa.com. Hall will speak on how to recognize and prevent fraud in local governments as county managers and administrators bear the ultimate responsibility of ensuring proper policies are in place to mitigate fraud. A representative from Vizitechusa.com will exhibit to attendees various technologies which can help improve efficiencies and effectiveness in local government.
A roundtable exercise on how to enhance revenue from existing sources and identify alternatives will also take place. Any additional subjects raised during that session will be discussed as well.
